Research Focus

Computer architecture sets the rules and methods for functionality, organization, and implementation of computer systems - whether an embedded device in the car you drive, a mobile phone you use every day or a high-performance server. Our research focuses on the design of processors, memory and storage systems that make up the core of these modern computing systems.  We aim to find new ways of designing and controlling these components to optimize performance, power, reliability, and cost while considering the evolving needs of their applications.
